The new 2024 Micro-Image Capture 9 is the latest in digital microfilm and microfiche image capture technology from Microfilmworld.com, featuring high-resolution 18MP USB 2.0 imager with microscopy-grade optics, allowing for full-size quality viewing, printing, and digital capture of images on Microfiche, Jackets, Microfilm Rolls and Aperture Cards.
Compact, lightweight, and portable, the MIC9 is powered and communicates with your laptop or workstation PC via USB 2.0 or 3.0 ports. The Micro-Image Capture 9 uses the latest USB 2.0 / 3.0 technology for the fastest real-time viewing available and is compatible with Windows XP and up to Windows 7/8/10/11/12 (32 & 64 bit) and MAC O/S.
The MRFC-1 Motorized Roll Film Carrier option provides convenient electronic advance and rewind in slow, medium, and high speed at the touch of a button. This is an excellent feature when working with 16mm and 35mm microfilm rolls. Adding the MRFC-1 motorized roll film option makes the system a universal carrier, so the Microfiche/AP card carrier is still active while the motorized roll film carrier is in place. Either format is always ready to use.
Capture an image to PDF, JPG, or other format or send it to your network printer in about a second with a simple click of your mouse or with the included USB Footswitch. The Micro-Image Capture 9 features a 7-54X optical zoom lens perfect for 16 mm and 35mm microfilm images on fiche, jackets, aperture cards, or 16/35mm roll film. It can also digitally zoom images up to 200%.
The MIC9 provides fast and easy manual adjustment of magnification and focus, which is achieved via precision, high-quality optics and the mechanical camera stage. The lightweight, solid anodized billet aluminum base unit and fiche handler include a mechanical auto glass lift mechanism and are built in the USA with quality linear bearings for precision movement and long product life.
The New 2024 High Production Capture software included with the Micro-Image Capture 9 provides for many adjustments to image quality like exposure, contrast, brightness, sharpness as well as optical flip, rotate and invert (neg to pos). Send images instantly to your printer, e-mail or to a designated pc folder with a click of the mouse, keyboard hotkey or the included foot switch.
Additional New 2024 High-Production software features include auto image detect, auto image crop, and auto image de-skew. A multiple image detect mode will automatically detect, crop, de-skew, and capture as many legible images as possible that can fit on the view screen in about a second, greatly increasing productivity (a large format monitor is recommended for this functionality). An Auto Capture feature added for 2024 will automatically detect when an image is centered on the screen, crop, auto-capture, and then wait for the user to move to the next image and repeat. It is essentially an assisted auto scan mode that saves users from clicking scan with a mouse or footswitch when moving from image to image on fiche or roll film.
New 2024 High Production Software is standard on the MIC9
