Aperture Card Scanners

Aperture cards are a type of microform made of a thick paper stock, typically 7 3/8” by 3 ¼” in size with one 35mm microfilm image offset on the card. Images stored on aperture cards are most often engineering size images like maps, blueprints, schematics and other large format type drawings.

Aperture Card Scanners are specially designed to capture these large format images, converting them to a digital format like a .tiff image. There are Aperture Card Scanners that are designed for moderate viewing and scanning of images one at a time as well as high production automated scanners that can take a stack of cards and scan them automatically at a high rate of speed.

Microfilmshop.com also provides scanning conversion services for all type of microforms including Aperture Cards, Microfiche, 16mm Roll Film, 35mm Roll Film and Microfilm Cartridges. Please call us for conversion quotations or if you need assistance in determining which product will meet your requirements.
